I have been so busy with my dear nephews and niece from New York along with starting some new classes as Scrapbook Outlet in Bountiful, Utah that I haven't taken the time to show what I have been creating. Hopefully, this will be a start.
I wanted to share with you my July banner. It was made with an older line from My Minds Eye, called American Made. It was a great line with great patterns in cream, blue and red. It also makes great paper for a boy layout or cards. I decided to use KABOOM for the word and I loved how it turned out. I did a double layer for each banner with the bottom layer being a different shape than the top layer.
The base for this month went along with the theme (obviously) and included painting and trusty Mod Podge and paper.
We spent July 4 in upper state Minnesota at one of their 10,000 lakes. It was a very interesting experience. The Mayfly (I think that is what they call it) are absolutely HUGE. We stayed in a nice home on the lake and enjoyed boating, wave runners, playing at the beach, golfing, swimming and most importantly enjoying the grandchildren and our children. It was great fun - although I could've done without the HUGE bugs!!!!
