Crafting Like Crazy!!!

I have been so busy with my dear nephews and niece from New York along with starting some new classes as Scrapbook Outlet in Bountiful, Utah that I haven't taken the time to show what I have been creating.  Hopefully, this will be a start.
I wanted to share with you my July banner.  It was made with an older line from My Minds Eye, called American Made.  It was a great line with great patterns in cream, blue and red.  It also makes great paper for a boy layout or cards. I decided to use KABOOM for the word and I loved how it turned out.  I did a double layer for each banner with the bottom layer being a different shape than the top layer.

The base for this month went along with the theme (obviously) and included painting and trusty Mod Podge and paper.

We spent July 4 in upper state Minnesota at one of their 10,000 lakes.  It was a very interesting experience.  The Mayfly (I think that is what they call it) are absolutely HUGE.  We stayed in a nice home on the lake and enjoyed boating, wave runners, playing at the beach, golfing, swimming and most importantly enjoying the grandchildren and our children.  It was great fun - although I could've done without the HUGE bugs!!!!

Birthday Banner

The birthday banner reads, "1 year older" and includes a large medallion that can be removed on placed on the birthday person.  It is bright and colorful and made with Doodlebug paper.  I love Doodlebug - so happy and cheerful!! The medallion is from Making Memories, but I reworked it and added more ribbon on the bottom and redesigned the middle so it went with the banner better.  I used a cut out of a really cute dog jumping and wearing a birthday hat from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge.  Fun, fun, fun.  Already designing in my head the 4th of July banner for next month!!

Spring Banner

I have been so delinquent in posting for the last couple months!! I am so sorry.  My sister passed away in New York, my daughter and her family (my only grandchild that lived by me) moved back to the Sacramento area and much traveling has been done.  Because I now have two children who have moved back to California, my husband and I purchased a condo in the Rocklin area and share our time between Utah and California.

April also saw another successful scrapbook retreat come and go and in my spare time I tried to keep up on my monthly banners.

Above is my Spring banner - I know it is now summer but it actually was put on the shelf April 15th!

Close ups of Easter Banner

April Banner - Easter

I'm a little late getting the pictures up for the Easter Banner - so sorry.  We had a death in the family and I  finished the banner and kits but ran out of time getting the pictures up. Call Heartland Paper in Bountiful, Utah for your own kit!

New Cards

I had so much fun making this card! I finally used my honeycomb sheets from Inky Antics.  Loved how they turned out.  I purchased the honeycomb sheets at Archivers but I noticed you can buy them direct from Inky Antics.  I think I may have to order more!
Fun Birthday card - love the owl.
Of course we all need a fun St. Patricks Day card.  How better to say "how lucky I am to have you!".
Loved the shape of this card, unfortunately I didn't test the size and it didn't fit in an A2 envelope - had to buy the next size up, bummer!
